Thank you!
After over two decades of friendship, one of the many things we have in common is loving to learn everything we can about what happened in the times before us. We love making each other laugh and have a healthy competition of who can make the better (or worse) pun.
We are so excited to be able to take our passion for history and give it life outside of our weekly documentary dates. We are even more excited to be able to share these stories with you, our lovely audience.
Thank you again for being so supportive of two silly-gooses (silly-geese?) who love history.

Queen Nzinga ruled Ndongo and Matamba (present day Angola) in the 17th century. She has gone down in history as resisting colonialism and giving the Portuguese what-for using guerrilla warfare. There is more under the surface, however; in today's story you'll learn that being a ruler requires being pragmatic, which is not always peaceful.

Virginia Hall was a Baltimore socialite, tomboy, aspiring diplomat, and an amputee. She went by nicknames such as "Fighting Blade" and "Donna Juanita." She spoke six languages and could make her own cheese. Her biggest accomplishment? Giving the Nazis what-for during WWII. She became irreplaceable as she helped coordinate intel and resources to resistance fighters in France, right under the Gestapo's nose. And she'll have to run for her life as one of the most cruel men in history tries to track down 'The Limping Lady." Join Morgan and Emiliegh as they discuss her life and how this amazing woman helped change the world.

In the 1850s, thousands of Chinese immigrants came to the US for the gold rush. Many white Americans did not like that. In the 1880s, Congress passed legislation limiting the immigration and rights of an entire ethnic group, the first and only time to do so. Listen how immigrants persisted anyway, despite the violence and discrimination they faced.
